Portugal: Labelling obligations

To make the separation of household packaging waste as easy as possible, Portugal has a series of symbols on packaging developed by the Portuguese take-back system. These symbols are designed to inform and help consumers about the basic rules for waste separation. In order for this information to reach the final consumer, the companies that put disposable packaging on the Portuguese market have to put these symbols on their packaging.
